The Department of Banking and Finance has been contacted by another State’s Regulator that the following website www.amcapitalloans.com which according to the site is domiciled in the State of Georgia at 41 Marietta St. NW, Atlanta, is reportedly taking advance fees from consumers for credit products and not extending credit to these consumers.
This site is similar to a companion website www.amcorpcapital.com which is allegedly domiciled in the State of Massachusetts. Consumers are advised to avoid any lending programs that require the submission of fees or monies prior to the extension of credit, since this is not a normal and customary credit practice. The above entities are NOT licensed by the Department of Banking and Finance pursuant to the Georgia Residential Mortgage Act, nor are they licensed by the Insurance Department pursuant to extending loans under $3,000 under the Georgia Industrial Loan Act.
