Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council
The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council was established on March 10, 1979, pursuant to Title X of the Financial Institutions Regulatory and Interest Rate Control Act of 1978 (FIRA), Public Law 95-630. The Council is a formal interagency body empowered to prescribe uniform principles, standards, and report forms for the federal examination of financial institutions.

U.S. Treasury - Office of Foreign Assets Control
The U. S. Secretary of State has designated 30 groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has added these groups to its list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons. Information on these entities and a new "brochure" on the Terrorism program is available on the OFAC's home page.
