The Georgia Department of Banking and Finance continuously recruits and offers career advancements beginning with the Assistant Financial Examiner position. Examiners perform duties involving a review of activities of banks and credit unions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations; evaluate internal and external audit procedures to ensure that adequate accounting controls are evident; and prepare financial schedules and conduct analyses of the financial and operating condition of financial institutions to assist in the determination of an institution's safe and sound operation and overall condition.
