Atlanta, Georgia ~ On August 8, 2008, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance’s (“Department’s”) Notice of Intent to Revoke Annual License issued to NLC of Georgia, Inc., license number 18929, located at 3673 Westcenter Drive, Houston, Texas, 77042 became final.
The Notice of Intent to Revoke Annual License issued to NLC of Georgia, Inc. provided, among other things, that this licensee employed a felon.
Pursuant to state law, it is prohibited for any person knowingly to purchase, sell, or transfer a mortgage loan or loan application from or to a mortgage broker or mortgage lender that is not licensed or exempt from licensing or registration provisions.
In conjunction with the violations that were alleged in the Notice of Intent to Revoke Annual License, an Order to Cease and Desist also was issued by the Department to Katherine Le, the president of NLC of Georgia, Inc., which became final on May 6, 2008.
