Atlanta, Georgia ~ On September 18, 2008, the Gwinnett County Superior Court issued a Final Consent Order enjoining Maudlyn Harris a/k/a Maudlyn Zuofa of Sugar Hill, Georgia, from further violation of the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance’s (“Department’s”) order requiring her to cease and desist from engaging in residential mortgage activities.
On June 27, 2006, a Cease and Desist Order issued by the Department became final against Ms. Harris after it was determined that she purposefully altered information or made false statements or material misrepresentations to the Department. As a consequence, Ms. Harris was not eligible to work for a licensed mortgage broker or lender for a three-year-period. Despite this restriction, the Department discovered that Ms. Harris engaged in residential mortgage broker activities since June 27, 2006, while in the employ of North Metro Atlanta Mortgage, LLC—a broker whose mortgage license was revoked effective July 11, 2008.
Pursuant to the Final Consent Order issued by the Gwinnett County Superior Court, Ms. Harris is enjoined from working as or for a Georgia mortgage broker or lender until July 21, 2013.
As per records of the Department, in addition to being known as “Maudlyn Zuofa,” Maudlyn Harris also is known as “Maudlyn Zuofa Akere,” “Maudlyn Aker,” and “Maudlyn Akarve” and may not work under these names or any other name for a Georgia residential mortgage licensee.
