Georgia Department of Banking and Finance Enters into a Consent Order with Nationwide Mortgage Lending Group, Inc. and its President, Stephanie Sgro

Atlanta, Georgia ~ On February 23, 2009, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (“Department”) entered into a Consent Order with Nationwide Mortgage Lending Group, Inc., mortgage broker’s license number 22915, located at 30000 Mill Creek Avenue, Suite 415, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022.

The terms of the Consent Order include a series of requirements that Nationwide Mortgage Lending Group, Inc. conduct its Georgia residential mortgage activities in compliance with state law and related Department rules.  Additionally, Nationwide Mortgage Lending Group, Inc. shall perform background checks for all new employees before or within 10 days of their initial hire and annually thereafter.  The Consent Order further requires Nationwide Mortgage Lending Group, Inc. to make a contribution to the State Regulatory Registry, LLC to support the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
