Department of Banking and Finance Enters into a Consent Order with America's Mortgage Broker, LLC, and its owners, Mark Collins and Axiom, Inc.

Atlanta, Georgia ~ On December 1, 2009, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (“Department”) entered into a Consent Order with America’s Mortgage Broker, LLC, mortgage lender’s license number 15600, located at 324 North Dale Mabry Highway, Suite 203, Tampa, Florida 33609-1266, and its owners, Mark Collins and Axiom, Inc., to resolve allegations of violations of the Georgia Residential Mortgage Act.

The terms of the Consent Order include a series of requirements that America’s Mortgage Broker, LLC, among other things, shall develop and implement policies, procedures and best practices that will ensure compliance with state law and related Department rules regarding Georgia residential mortgage activity.  America’s Mortgage Broker, LLC also shall pay fines in the amount of $6,500.  The Consent Order further requires America’s Mortgage Broker, LLC to make a contribution to the State Regulatory Registry, LLC to support the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
