Georgia Department of Banking and Finance's Order to Cease and Desist Issued to Realty 1st, Inc. Becomes Final

Atlanta, Georgia - On April 30, 2010, an Order to Cease and Desist issued by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (“Department”) to Realty 1st, Inc., located at 3800 Holcomb Bridge Road, Suite A, Norcross, Georgia 30092 became final.

This Order to Cease and Desist was issued by the Department after it obtained evidence Realty 1st, Inc. engaged in residential mortgage brokering/lending activities without a license or under an applicable exemption. 

Pursuant to Georgia law, it is prohibited for any entity to directly or indirectly solicit, process, place, or negotiate a mortgage loan for another or to offer to do any of these things unless it holds a mortgage license or is acting under a recognized exemption from licensure.
