Georgia Department of Banking and Finance Enters into a Consent Order with Patricia Jones Mead

Atlanta, Georgia - On April 6, 2011, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (“Department”) entered into a Consent Order with Patricia Jones Mead, mortgage loan originator’s license number 26364, Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (“NMLS”) number 167107, located at 201 Tallman Drive, Martinez, Georgia 30907 to resolve allegations pertaining to violations of the Georgia Residential Mortgage Act and agency rules. 

The terms of the Consent Order are as follows:

  • For a five-year period, Patricia Jones Mead can only be affiliated with a mortgage broker or mortgage lender as an employee and is prohibited from applying for a mortgage broker’s or lender’s license. During this same time frame, Ms. Mead may not serve as a branch manager or direct the affairs or act as a director, officer, partner, equitable owner, or any other equivalent role of a Georgia mortgage broker or Georgia mortgage lender.
     
  • Prior to affiliating with a Georgia mortgage broker or lender, Patricia Jones Mead shall complete 4 hours of education in the areas of mortgage fraud detection and mortgage fraud prevention.
     
  • Patricia Jones Mead shall also fully cooperate in any regulatory, administrative, civil or criminal investigation with respect to any person by whom residential mortgage activities were performed by or through BDK Mortgage and Investments, Inc.
     
  • A contribution shall be made by Patricia Jones Mead to the State Regulatory Registry, LLC to support the NMLS.
