Department enters into Consent Order with Westminster Mortgage, LLC and Vincent Terry
Atlanta, Georgia — On May 28, 2019, the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (“Department”) entered into a Consent Order with Westminster Mortgage, LLC (NMLS No. 1502499), located at 444 Highland Avenue NE, Suite 216, Atlanta, Georgia 30312, and its owner, Vincent Terry (NMLS No. 1303042).
The Consent Order was entered to resolve Notices of Intent to Revoke and a proposed Order to Cease and Desist issued to Westminster Mortgage, LLC and its owner for allegations including purposefully withholding documents requested by the Department and refusal to permit an examination. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 7-1-1017(a) and Department Rule 80-11-3-.01(21), the Department may revoke the license of a mortgage broker, lender, or loan originator for failure to submit to an examination.
The terms of the Consent Order include the following:
- The mortgage broker’s license of Westminster Mortgage, LLC shall be deemed voluntarily surrendered;
- The mortgage loan originator’s license of Vincent Terry shall be deemed voluntarily surrendered;
- Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 7-1-1017(c), the surrender of each license shall have the same effect as a revocation.
